NEET-UG 2021 Counselling: MCC issues guidelines of college reporting

Attendance will be held offline; Covid infected have the option of online and e-joining

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) and the Ministry of Health, Government of India (MoHFW) have given the opportunity of hybrid mode (individual/online reporting/e-joining) to the candidates allotted MBBS/Dental seats under the counseling of NEET-UG 2021.

In this regard, MCC has issued a notice for the candidates on its website. According to the announcement, all the candidates have to appear in the physically allotted college and join. Only those candidates will be given the opportunity of e-joining or online reporting, who are themselves COVID infected. For this also, permission will have to be taken from the allotted college administration.

According to the ALLEN expert, for e-Joining, a candidate will have to give consent to the college through e-mail, along with the scanned copies of the certificates desired by the college. The candidates who wish to upgrade their All India Quota Round-2 and want to retain their Round-1 seat have to report physically only. There will be no option of online reporting for such candidates.

The candidates opting for online or e-Joining should ensure that their admission letter has been generated online from the MCC portal; otherwise, their admission will be treated as canceled. In this context, MCC has also issued the e-mail ID and phone number of the Principal / Nodal Officer of the respective allotted college, on which the candidates can get detailed information.

The candidate will have to deposit the fee prescribed by the allotted college on the college’s official portal and inform the college authority. All these admissions are provisional until the candidates submit their original documents and medical fitness (which will be in the allotted college) at the time of physical.

The provisional admission letter will be issued by the allotted college, which will be sent to the candidate’s e-mail ID and the MCC. Those candidates who want to take free exit will not have to report to the college in round-1.
