Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test, well known as BITSAT 2016, is a University level entrance exam. This exam is to offer admission in diverse Engineering courses like Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Civil, Chemical, Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering and Biotechnology at their campuses located in Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa. BITSAT 2016 is a computer based online exam conducted by BITS Pilani University.
It is ranked as one of the best Private University for Technology and known to produce some of the finest Science, Pharmacy, Engineering and Management graduates.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed HSC Examination from a recognized board in India or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
- Must have scored at least 75% aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in 12th and at least 60% of aggregate in all subjects individually.
- Applicants who are appearing 12th in 2016 and who have passed 12th in 2015 can apply for the examination.
- Students who obtain the first rank in any central or state level board exam in India held in the year 2016 will be given direct admission to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2015 score subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
Application Form
The application form of BITSAT 2016 is available now, from January 8, 2016 and deadline to apply Online is March 5, 2016 (5 pm).
Interested candidates should register their names by applying in the prescribed application form online. They shall complete the application form online and pay the prescribed fees. They also need to take the print out of the filled form for future reference.
Steps for applying for BITSAT form are mentioned below:

- Read all the given instructions
- Click on “Allow Me To Apply Online” Button
- Register by filling mandatory fields: Name, Gender, Date of Birth and E-mail ID
- Save the allocated BITSAT application number and use it to login again
- Login and fill in their educational qualification and other personal details as mentioned in the form and select their preference centre
- After filling up the form applicants need pay their application fee online through Debit/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking.
During the BITSAT 2016 form filling, candidates will also have to submit the application fee, which is Rs. 2200 for male candidates and Rs. 1700 for female candidates. However, for both male and female candidates, opting for Dubai centre, the application fee is US$50 (or Rs.3100/). \

Exam Pattern
- BITSAT is Computer based online exam.
- The paper comprises of 150 multiple choice objective type questions.
- Time for the exam will be about 3 hours.
- Applicant will get 3 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be reduced for each wrong answer.

Admit Card
- The admit card of BITSAT 2016 will be available to download from 20 to 30 April 2016.
- The conducting body will not send it via post or e-mail.
- It will be released for all the candidates and without it, the permission to write exam will not be granted.
On the day of the examination, along with the confirming of the admit card, candidate’s fingerprint and photograph will also be taken. It will be matched during the final admission. Candidature will be cancelled if candidates will try to forge any of these.
