NExT Exam To Be Introduced From 2024

NExT Will Replace Final-Year MBBS & NEET PG Exam

The National Exit (NExT) examination will be a unified single qualifying examination for granting recognition to the final-year undergraduate medical students and allocation of the postgraduate seats. The NExT Exam will be introduced next year (2024)

NExT Will be Single Examination for Final-Year MBBS Exam & NEET-PG

NExT Exam will be a single examination for the final-year MBBS Examinations and the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) Post Graduate (PG) Examination. It will enable the qualification to the undergraduate MBBS students to practice modern medicine in the country.

Screening Examination for the Foreign Medical Graduates

The NExT exam will also function as a screening exam for foreign medical graduates wishing to practise in India, in addition to being the qualifying examination for awarding recognition to final-year undergraduate medical students and the allotment of postgraduate seats. The problem of foreign medical graduates will be solved because it would be a common examination for both Indian and foreign medical graduates.

ALLEN DLP JEE Main + Advanced 2023-24

The exam, which would evaluate the students’ clinical and practical learning, is reportedly going to be administered at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi.

NExT Exam 2024 to be Conducted in Two Phases

It is suggested that the exam be administered in two stages. NExT 1, which will be a theoretical test, will be followed by NExT 2, which will be a practical test. Additionally, this year saw the addition of at least 8,000 extra MBBS seats to the pool, bringing the nation’s total number of undergraduate medical seats to above 100,000.
