2. Syllabus for NEET-UG 2024
The NEET-UG 2024 syllabus is based on the NCERT curriculum for classes 11 and 12. It covers the following subjects and topics:
- Physics: Mechanics, Optics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, Modern Physics, and more.
- Chemistry: Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Environmental Chemistry.
- Biology: Zoology and Botany, including topics like Genetics, Ecology, Cell Biology, and Human Physiology.
The syllabus is divided into three sections:
- Physics: 45 Questions
- Chemistry: 45 Questions

3. Exam Pattern
The NEET-UG 2024 exam will be a pen-paper-based test (PBT) with a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes. The question paper comprises two sections: Section A and Section B. Here is a breakdown by subject: In the exam, a total of 200 questions will be presented, but candidates are required to answer 180 of them. Each correct answer carries 4 marks, and a penalty of 1 mark is levied for each wrong response.

- Section B: 15 Questions (Only 10 to be attempted for 40 Marks)

Chemistry:

Biology:
- Section A: 35 Questions (140 Marks)
- Section B: 15 Questions (Only 10 to be attempted for 40 Marks)

Zoology:
- Section A: 35 Questions (140 Marks)
- Section B: 15 Questions (Only 10 to be attempted for 40 Marks)
- Total: 45 Questions (180 Marks)
- Grand Total: 180 Questions (720 Marks)
- All questions in the NEET exam are of multiple-choice type.
4. Marking Scheme
The NEET-UG 2024 marking scheme is as follows:
- 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
- 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- There will be no negative marking for unattempted questions.
