Student of ALLEN Career Institute to Represent Team India in IESO- 2018

Students of ALLEN Career Institute are consistently outshining in International level examinations and making all of us proud. Anuj Jain, student of ALLEN Career Institute will represent India in 12th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO).

Sh. Naveen Maheshwari, Director of ALLEN Career Institute told that the 12th International Earth Science Olympiad will be organized in Thailand, from 8th August -17th August 2018, at Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus. A team of four students have been selected to represent India in the final stage. Anuj Jain, student of ALLEN PNCF is one of them.

The Earth Science Olympiad follows a four-stage procedure: (i) National level Entrance Test, (ii) Training Camp culminating in the Indian National Earth Science Olympiad, (iii) Pre-departure training camp and (iv) International Earth Science Olympiad.

The Geological Society of India conducted an objective-type Entrance Test (ET) in which 20 students were selected to attend a Training Camp. Four students have been finally chosen from among the Training Camp participants who will represent India at the 12th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO)

The International Earth Science Olympiad – IESO was founded as one of the major activities of the International Geoscience Education Organization (IGEO). It is an annual competition for secondary school students. The main aim of the IESO is to encourage students’ interest and public awareness of Earth Science and to enhance Earth Sciences learning and to enhance Earth Science teaching/learning at the school level. The IESO aims further to foster friendly relationships among young learners from different countries and promoting international cooperation in exchanging ideas and materials on Earth sciences and Earth sciences education.
