The students of Allen Career Institute have once again illuminated the name of Kota. Based on quality education, students of Allen Career Institute have not only achieved success in the field of medical and engineering entrance examinations or international level Olympiads but have now even become the recipients of awards that are of national repute.

Sh Naveen Maheshwari, director of the institute, said that two of the students from Allen were honored with the Bal Shakti Puraskar 2020 by the honorable president Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi on Wednesday. Lacs of children from across the country nominate themselves for this award and the selection of the recipients is done by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development based on their achievement. Mr. Maheshwari further stated that the award was given to two of Allen students namely Jennisha Agarwal of class 11 and Devesh Bhaiya of class 7.

Stanford University awarded a 100 percent workshop scholarship – Jennisha Agarwal

The award was bestowed upon the outstanding academic achievements of Allen’s student Jennisha  Agarwal. She has received a 100 percent scholarship offer for a workshop at Stanford University in the session 2019 and this 21-day workshop was held between June 24 and July 14. Besides this, she received 90 scholarship for a summer workshop by Oxford University. Moreover, she secured a gold medal in South East Asian Mathematics Olympiad, Gold in Thailand International Mathematics Olympiad, Silver in Hong Kong International Maths Olympiad and has been selected for the IJSO & OCSC Camp. Prior to this, she has won many gold and silver medals. She is a resident of Gujarat; Jennisha is a classroom student of Allen for the past three years. Her father Sunil Agarwal is a businessman and mother Barkha Agarwal is a housewife.

A seventh-grader has won more than 200 medals – Devesh Bhaiya

Devesh Bhaiya, a student of class 7th, has so far, won more than 200 medals in various national and international competitive examinations. Devesh, a resident of Jalgaon in Maharashtra, is currently studying in Kota. Recently Devesh has secured Gold in South-Eastern Mathematics Olympiad, Gold in Thailand International Mathematics Olympiad, Rank-1 in International Mathematics Olympiad, and a Gold Medal in Homi Bhabha Junior Scientist Examination. His mother Pallavi Bhaiya is an interior designer and father Pankaj Bhaiya is an architect.

Who gets the reward?

The award was instituted in 1996 by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, to increase the attractiveness of students in innovation, education, social concerns, art and culture, sports and to encourage those who have achieved special achievements. In the year 2018, the award was renamed as the Bal Shakti Puraskar.
