At Hanoi ALLEN’s Lajja won Gold Medal and Vidushi won Silver Medal in IBO 2016 Final Round

ALLEN Career Institute continues to prove its supremacy in the National/International Olympiads. Now 2 classroom coaching students of ALLEN, Lajjaben Patel and Vidushi Varshney won Gold and Silver medal respectively in the final round of International Biology Olympiad 2016 at Hanoi.

According to Sh Naveen Maheshwari, Director ALLEN Career Institute, ALLEN’s Lajjaben and Vidushi were part of the Indian team of 4 students who competed for the medals in the final round of IBO being organized by Hanoi National University of Education supported by Education & Training Ministry Vietnam.  Also, Lajja earlier was declared as the National Practical Topper in OCSC and Vidushi on the other hand bagged the title of National Theory Topper in the third round. Even in the AIIMS 2016 result declared last month Lajjaben Patel secured AIR-3.

IBO 2016 Final ResultThe 27th IBO which was held from 17th to 24th July in Hanoi witnessed participation from 288 students of 72 countries. Various competitions were conducted for a period of 1 week in Hanoi and the students were felicitated according to their performances. Top 10% students in the final competition were rewarded with Gold Medals.

As per Sh Maheshwari, Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education, Mumbai conducted the 3rd round of the Olympiad i.e. Orientation Cum Selection Camp for the selection of the best students from around the country. Out of these students, 4 students were shortlisted who represented the country’s team in the Final round Internationally at Hanoi. Vidushi & Lajja were shortlisted amongst those 4 students.

Lajjaben Patel

Immediately after securing 19th position in the 16th National Science Olympiad, Lajjaben also secured AIR-3 in AIIMS 2016 also. She has previously been a KVPY scholar and has also won the prestigious NTSE Scholarship. She bagged AIR 69 in NSTSE. Moreover she bagged Silver Medal for the country in the 25th International Biology Olympiad held at Bali, Indonesia. While in 10th class her Microbiology project was selected and she was then invited by Stanford University. She aspires to do research after completing her MBBS.

Vidushi Varshney

She earlier secured 16th position in the 16th National Science Olympiad. Previously she had also represented India in the International Junior Science Olympiad 2015 and won a silver medal for the country. Vidushi bagged 58th position in NSTSE 2014 and 73rd rank in NSTSE 2015.
